Denver School of the Arts (DSA) had a memorable and moving celebration this week at the site of their new academic building. The celebration commemorated the beginning of renovations on this building, which is one of four buildings purchased by DPS for the expansion of DSA. This has been a passion-fueled project led by Executive Principal Dr. Anthony McWright.
“I’m very excited about this project and the possibility that it brings to any students who have a love of and are passionate about the arts,” said Dr. McWright, who has been advocating, gathering support for and seeking resources for this expansion for several years. His dream has come to fruition.
This expansion is made possible by 2020 bond premium dollars. Thank you Denver voters for your continued support, trust and dedication to students! This expansion will allow more deserving students with an interest in the arts to pursue their passions.
Watch the groundbreaking event and hear from Superintendent Dr. Alex Marrero, Board of Education Director Michelle Quattlebaum, and more about what this expansion means for Denver students.
Special thanks to Trinity Scales, a senior at DSA who performed “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus to conclude the ceremony!
